Latta is a natural cartoonist in style and individual in his jokes. The brush work is smooth. The people that populate these gags are all big open shapes, beaks and schnozes with oval eyes. The punchlines range from absurd non-sequiturs, raunchy but decidedly not-charged sex jokes, and pitch black dark humor. The styling is very much in the vein of midcentury men’s magazine gags with contemporary jokes.
